On October 2oth the group discussed the book The story of Edgar Sawtelle. Mary F brought cookies shaped like dog biscuits and apple cider pressed from her daughter's trees. the group discussed the characters in Edgar Sawtelle and some peopled liked that they knew it was similar to Hamlet and some people were glad they read it and didn't know of the Hamlet connection. Also discussed was the possibility of supporting a business on dogs and the cost of dogs.
the group also celebrated it's 20th anniversary - the first book discussion group was held in 1989!
Next month's book is The story of Huckleberry Finn as the group does its annual classics read.
